Yankees, good? Yeah sure there are.(sarcastic)

Everyone thinks that the New York Yankees are a good team. If they are right, is debatable. For me, I’m just going to make it really simple so I don’t have to explain so much. They suck. I think that way and does not matter whatever they do, win all the world series to come, lead the MLB in batting, pitching, fielding, whatever I don’t care for me, they are a team that is just lucky and sucks. They have not won a world series in 8 years and the ”bombers of Bronx” they are dead. Every single person I know says that the batting order of the Yankees in this time is the best batting order in the history of the MLB. I say, show me. What good batters. Well if there are any, I have not gotten a chance to see them. Alex Rodriguez is not playing as well as before if before he played well. The only good thing about him is that he has 7 homeruns, but homeruns does not win you games. Derek Jeter is playing well and bringing some runs, but what he is doing is not something a player as old and experienced as him does. He has to do better to help his team. Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera the two Yankees good rookies have a combine average of about .230. I’m just going to keep this simple and say that is not good. They took out the veteran Gary Sheffield for the sucky Melky Cabrera, and I bet the Yankees are already regretting it. The player who are kind of helping the Yankees are first of all Hideki Matsui who has a .330 average, but what the Yankees need is RBIs’ not just a good average. Both Johnny Damon and Bobby Abreu are doing pretty well doing a decent amount of RBIs’ and also having a nice average but still, they have to improve if they want to be the stars of their team. Jason Giambi has been playing really well the last 10 games with 4 homeruns and 14 hits. Although he gave the winning homerun against the Orioles, he has just 7 RBIs’ and gives the Yankees ONLY the winning runs. Let’s see if he can stay with this incredible roll and actually at least help the Yankees be 4th in their division. The team in general sucks. They are last in their division and are 6 games from the leader. I think and I know that the worst thing about the Yankees is their pitching. I don’t know how to describe it, it sucks, it is embarrassing and is a shame to the ex good pitchers of the Yankees. They don’t have any good starting pitchers, but they have a worse bullpen. There most stupid mistake of all was the fact that they actually gave up the Ace Randy Johnson for a bunch of rookies who are now screwing up everything for the Yankees. People all around the world like the Yankees and most of them do not know any other team. They just like the Yankees because they are the richest team in the MLB and have won more world series. When I ask them why do they like the team they don’t know and that is what makes me mad the most. I hope that after this blog, people in the world would start thinking why they wear caps and shirts of the Yankees and that the team is nothing but a bunch of publicity.

Red Sox

In this blog I’m going to talk why the Red Sox are the best team in the MLB. First of all they have won more games than any other team in the MLB. Maybe they had lost more than the D-Backs, but it does not matter, they still dominate their division and the Al in games won. Last season they also were the team with most wins in the MLB with 96 wins at the end of the regular season, for me, that is complete power and dominance. They also were the team with less looses in the 2007 regular season with just 66 looses when other team were in the 70’s and 80’s. Red Sox have one of the best batters in the whole MLB. Manny Ramirez was the 2004 MVP and has 498 homeruns in his career, closing in 500. David Ortiz had a shaky start, but now leads the Red Sox in homeruns and RBI’s and is the fourth in the MLB with more RBI’s and the third in the AL. The 2007 MVP winner and also golden glove winner, Mike Lowell just came back from an injury, but had a hot start with the Red Sox with 5 homeruns and 15 RBI’s. Finally Kevin Youkilis, what can we say about him. There is nothing to say because his stats says it all. A .326 average, 9 homeruns and 34 RBI’s. He is a hitter that has every aspect of an all-star. Screw the curse of the Bambino, I think that curse never existed. What the Red Sox needed was a team that had the best of the best, and that is what they have right now. There batting is impeccable, and one of the best batting orders of the whole history of the MLB. There pitching is as good. The ace Josh Becket leads the Red Sox in strikeouts and is 12th in the MLB in strikeouts and 5th in the AL. He has a record of 5 wins and 3 looses. Dice-k Matsuzaka has a perfect record. 5 wins and no looses. He is 2nd in wins in the MLB and “numero uno” number one in the AL. Jonathan Papelbon, what can I say about this young pitcher. I think I can describe Jonathan in 4 words. “Future hall of famer”. Papelbon finish the 4th game of last year’s world series with a strikeout and now is 3rd in the MLB and AL in saves. When he gets in the game in the ninth inning, you can expect him to strikeout every single batter he will face. That has happened before and it had happened in this season also. Just flat out simple, the Boston Red Sox is the best team in the MLB and will be for many more years. They have the batters, the pitchers and the coach Terry Francona who lead the Red Sox to two World Series championships. I’m really sorry for your mother-in-law Mr. Francona, but know you have to think in sending this amazing Red Sox team to the World Series and getting yours and theirs 3rd World Series championship in 5 years. Go Boston Red Sox!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

All-Star players 2

Filed under: Uncategorized —— diegokings @ 11:57 pm

My last post was about, in my opinion the players who should go to the All-Star game in July. It talked about my 3 best choices of the nnominated players of the leading teams of the American League. Now, I’m going to do the same thing, just that I’m going to talk about the players of the National League. I’m going to start with the leading team of the east division which are the Florida Marlins. I’m going to start with the obvious player which is Hanley Ramirez. He has shown the same persistent and consistent throughout all the the years he has played with the Marlins. The most impressive thing about him is his average of ..338 and his 13 stolen bases. Then the two guys are so alike that I’m going to talk about them at the same time. They are Mike Jacobs and Dan Uggla. Their stats are so alike than it seems that it is the same person. They both have an average of .271, and two players having the same average in batting is really unusual. They both have 9 homeruns and finally they both have 1 stolen base. There is only two differences about them which are that Mike Jacobs has 24 RBI’s and Dan Uggla has 25. The other difference is that Mike Jacobs was injured a couple of days, but hopefully will come back in the next game against the Nationals. The second team is the the St. Louis Cardinals which lead the Central Division. My first pick is Albert Pujols and I don’t think I have to explain why would the National team want him. The only ting I have to say about him is hat he is a power swinger. My second pick is the ex-star for the Blue Jays, Troy Glaus. He is doing as well as he did last season with the Blue Jays, just that now he is in a team how are actually winning. He has 21 RBI’s and is i great shape with a some good at bats. My last pick was hard because the rest of the players were not good at all. He is Ryan Ludwick which has 23 RBI’s, 7 homeruns and a .351 average. Although that are some really good stats, I just think he is not ready for a All-Star game since he has only 6 seasons and is constantly changing teams. Finally are the Arizona Diamondbacks who are the leaders in the west division of the National League. I’m starting with one of the stars of this team who is Chris Young. He is an amazing player. which Arizona should feel lucky to have him for two seasons. He has .254 average with 9 homeruns leading his team in homeruns. With 24 RBI’s he is power hitter. Like his name says it, Young is a really young player which has just had 3 seasons including this one, playing baseball and all of them with the Diamondbacks. The second star of the Diamondbacks is Conor Jackson. He differ from Chris Young is a consistent hitter. He has 5 homeruns but has a .310 average which proves that he is a hitter that will always give you good results in each game. The last player is Justin Upton whit is a decent player which you can trust. He is not a power hitter or a consistent hitter but he is a little bit of both. .318 of average, 6 homeruns and 21 RBI’s. There is not much you can say about this player, but he is doing a great job for the D-back’s. That is all for this post and I hope you read the next one. Peace out.

All-star players

Filed under: Uncategorized —— diegokings @ 4:52 am

The All-star game is in July 15 but the voting has already started. People all around the world are now able to vote for their favorite players in a team so that they can go to the All-star game. I’m going to give you my top three choices and why a picked them of, the leader team in every division in the American League. First off, the leading team of the East Division the Tampa Bay Rays. My first pick is of course the player with most homeruns in this team, Carlos Pena.  Pena was at once the leader in homeruns and is also the 3rd player with most RBI’s in his team. The second is Dioner Navarro. Although Navarro has no homeruns and only 6 RBI’s he has an average of .400 and that’s a privilege for most batters. He has also 11 hits in his lasts 10 games, and that is not bad at all. I’m not sure who to pick for the last player because all of them are really good candidates. It is between Cliff Floyd, B.J. Upton and the two-time All-star Carl Crawford. Upton and Crawford have almost the same stat: average in the .290’s, 3 and 4 homeruns and 16 and 21 RBI’s. Although Upton is doing slightly better Crawford is a two-time All-star. Floyd is doing well, he has a .333 average and he would be my last pick, but he is in the disable list and I don’t know if he would be in shape for the All-star game. Next team and leader of the Central Division are the Chicago White sox. Jermaine Dye is not doing so well, with only 2 homeruns and a .286 average, but he is always a good man to have in the All-star game. Joe Crede is my second pick. He has the stats of a batter that deserves to be in the All-star game. A .258 average, 7 homeruns and 22 RBI’s, is some good piece of hitting. Finally Jim Thome is my last pick for this team. His stats are similar to Crede’s one but not so good. I think He is the best out of the ones left. 6 homeruns and 19 RBI’s is a good number and it is well enough for the All-star game. Finally the team with the best record with an 18-12 record the leader of the West Division the Los Angeles Angels. My first pick is Vladimir Guerrero. This guy is not going as he wish he could be when it comes to an All-star games he gives it all for the American team. He has a .266 average which is not appropriate for a man for his caliber, but it is just a matter of time until he gets better. My second pick is Casey Kotchman. He is an amazing player which has the two things a batter needs, power and consistent hitting. With .340 average and 6 homeruns it is obvious that he has both. You can also see it in his 19 RBI’s. Finally my last pick is Mike Napoli, now this guy is amazing. Not only because he gave the tying homerun against the Athletics on Thursday in the fourth inning, but because he has a .237 average with 13 RBI’s and 7 homeruns. He is one of the best catchers when it comes to batting, especially in homeruns in the American League. Those where my top three choices for the players in the leading teams in each division in the American league who are in the ballot of their teams and could go to the All-star game. In my next post I’m going to do the same thing just that now I’m going to talk about the players of the National League instead of the American league. Hope you liked it and hope you commented on it.
