All-star players
The All-star game is in July 15 but the voting has already started. People all around the world are now able to vote for their favorite players in a team so that they can go to the All-star game. I’m going to give you my top three choices and why a picked them of, the leader team in every division in the American League. First off, the leading team of the East Division the Tampa Bay Rays. My first pick is of course the player with most homeruns in this team, Carlos Pena. Pena was at once the leader in homeruns and is also the 3rd player with most RBI’s in his team. The second is Dioner Navarro. Although Navarro has no homeruns and only 6 RBI’s he has an average of .400 and that’s a privilege for most batters. He has also 11 hits in his lasts 10 games, and that is not bad at all. I’m not sure who to pick for the last player because all of them are really good candidates. It is between Cliff Floyd, B.J. Upton and the two-time All-star Carl Crawford. Upton and Crawford have almost the same stat: average in the .290’s, 3 and 4 homeruns and 16 and 21 RBI’s. Although Upton is doing slightly better Crawford is a two-time All-star. Floyd is doing well, he has a .333 average and he would be my last pick, but he is in the disable list and I don’t know if he would be in shape for the All-star game. Next team and leader of the Central Division are the Chicago White sox. Jermaine Dye is not doing so well, with only 2 homeruns and a .286 average, but he is always a good man to have in the All-star game. Joe Crede is my second pick. He has the stats of a batter that deserves to be in the All-star game. A .258 average, 7 homeruns and 22 RBI’s, is some good piece of hitting. Finally Jim Thome is my last pick for this team. His stats are similar to Crede’s one but not so good. I think He is the best out of the ones left. 6 homeruns and 19 RBI’s is a good number and it is well enough for the All-star game. Finally the team with the best record with an 18-12 record the leader of the West Division the Los Angeles Angels. My first pick is Vladimir Guerrero. This guy is not going as he wish he could be when it comes to an All-star games he gives it all for the American team. He has a .266 average which is not appropriate for a man for his caliber, but it is just a matter of time until he gets better. My second pick is Casey Kotchman. He is an amazing player which has the two things a batter needs, power and consistent hitting. With .340 average and 6 homeruns it is obvious that he has both. You can also see it in his 19 RBI’s. Finally my last pick is Mike Napoli, now this guy is amazing. Not only because he gave the tying homerun against the Athletics on Thursday in the fourth inning, but because he has a .237 average with 13 RBI’s and 7 homeruns. He is one of the best catchers when it comes to batting, especially in homeruns in the American League. Those where my top three choices for the players in the leading teams in each division in the American league who are in the ballot of their teams and could go to the All-star game. In my next post I’m going to do the same thing just that now I’m going to talk about the players of the National League instead of the American league. Hope you liked it and hope you commented on it.
